For years, I climbed the corporate ladder, ultimately leading global software teams as a senior leader in the aerospace industry. On paper, the trajectory looked successful. In reality, the pace and pressure had taken a toll. Chronic stress, emotional disconnection, and physical symptoms had become normalized, not because I lacked discipline, but because my system was operating in a constant state of strain.
Like many high performers, I did what I was supposed to do. I ate well. I exercised. I explored mindfulness and stress-management tools. Yet something was still missing. Information alone wasn’t changing how my body responded under pressure.
That shift began in an unexpected place — with a red-haired horse named Lilly.
Unlike people, Lilly responded only to what was happening in my nervous system in the moment. When I was tense or mentally distant, she became unsettled or disengaged. When I slowed down, regulated my breath, and became fully present, her behavior changed immediately. She offered real-time, nonverbal feedback that revealed how much my internal state was driving external outcomes.
Working with Lilly became a powerful lesson in regulation and alignment. She functioned as a living biofeedback system, teaching me more about presence, emotional truth, and nervous system regulation than any leadership training or textbook ever had.
To better understand what I was experiencing, I pursued formal education through Quantum University, deepening my knowledge of the gut–brain connection, emotional intelligence, and systems-based biology. What I discovered was both validating and transformative: sustainable performance isn’t about pushing harder; it’s about aligning the systems that carry the pressure.
That insight changed the direction of my work.
Today, Lilly is a therapy horse at Affinity Ranch, supporting both their clients and mine through equine-assisted coaching experiences. Together, we help individuals experience — not just intellectually understand — what regulation and alignment feel like in real time.
This journey shaped a simple truth that now underpins all of my work: lasting change happens when the gut, heart, and brain begin communicating clearly, and someone shows you how to listen.

The gut–brain connection and its impact on energy, mood, and cognitive clarity
Emotional intelligence and HeartMath® coherence tools
Mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic awareness to support nervous system regulation
Equine-assisted coaching, where appropriate, to provide real-time feedback on presence, regulation, and alignment
